The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Thursday October 24 and Friday October 25 as public holidays to mark the 2012 Ed-el-Kabir celebrations. Minister of Interior Abba Moro made the announcement in a statement by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Daniel Nwaobia in Abuja.
Moro called on Nigerians to continually imbibe and emulate the worthy tenets of Islam as practiced by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He enjoined the citizens to use the occasion to pray for peace and prosperity of the nation.
